hey guys im getting a new engine on my clio due to my cambelt snapping. i have a 1.2 8v d7f engine in a 1998 mk 2 phase 1 clio. my dad and i have come across an engine but it has come from a 2004 clio mk 2 phase 3 one with the point lights its also an RT and its a 1.4 16v. i am not looking for a power increase or anything but this bloke is doing a good deal he only wants £700 for the engine, driveshafts, gearbox, suspension everything basically the whole front end. i am wondering if this would fit easily enough to get fitted. im getting it done professionally so i am wondering how much i should be paying for it as well please help guys and please no answers such as dont bother thank you?

Your looling at a load to get it doen and fitted.

Forget it. stick a 172/182 engine in or leave it IMO.

The fitment costs will be huge you need the keys as well.

if you dont mind me asking, why?

were you the guy who's engine blown?

edit: just read first line

yeah its got the keys and everything anyone else or are you all on the same opinion

Anyone who'd done it will agree ith not wrth it you needto much and the potentail issues are massive I know most transplants need a second gearbox as the first always are broken. Plus electric have trouble so you need to find a helpful Renault dealership.
