Converting rear lights from PH1 to PH2

I no there is a guide on it but its not very clear, does it mean i will have to disconnect all the wires and then reconnect them all in order for the lights to work properly

Not very clear? Are we talking about the same guide?

Take all the wires out of the plug, and then put them back in, in the ph2 order.
