I saw a golf on the way home tonight with a cool bee sting aerial. It was about half the length of a normal one and aluminium. Looked really cool. Anyone got one of these on a 172 or 182 or know what one would fit? Do you need to tell you insurer about a non standard aerial?

I saw a golf on the way home tonight with a cool bee sting aerial. It was about half the length of a normal one and aluminium. Looked really cool. Anyone got one of these on a 172 or 182 or know what one would fit? Do you need to tell you insurer about a non standard aerial?
This is what it looked like. Gonna find out where I can get one. Would you have to tell the insurance guys do you reckon?

Halfords sell them mate, cheap as chips
I went for the richbrook antitheft one, about twenty quid i think. dont like the silver one because i think it looks strange with the black base. you can cut it to any length, only problem is its started to fade now, been on about a year
