Coolant leaks

Notice my coolant has dropped ever so slightly in about 3-4weeks and with minimum use (can' sit for 5day) and was wanting to know if the 172/182 are common for coolant lose, and prone to leaks, also if there was any common hot spots, ie thermostat, water pump, rad etc...

Nothing visable and oil/water is all clean

How hard has it been driven recently? If you undo the cap on the bottle, does it rise back up? When you say dropped, how much by?

thermostat housing and around the stat can be quite bad.

Get some ring automotive UV diagnostic coolant dye and a UV light to see where it's going

Or get some stop leak solution if leaks not that bad, may just cure the weak areas

How hard has it been driven recently? If you undo the cap on the bottle, does it rise back up? When you say dropped, how much by?

It gets a wee blast here and there but nothing along the lines of a Trackday yet, and the level doesn't rise when removing cap. Dropped as in over a few weeks worth it was bang on the line now it's just a tad under, it's not acting like a head gasket. More so like a little seep and wanted to know any weak spots as such for leaks.

A little, mainly due to having a noisy dephaser pully.

Have a check around the water pump for slight residue.
