Coolant leek

Driving home last night and the temp needle was above half way . Started going near the red so stopped and looked under the bonnet and all the coolant had gone .

Tried to fill the bottle up but it just comes straight back out ( looks like it must be leaking from under the battery ) and is all over the gearbox so to the right side .

Are there any common faults that may have caused this .

You have leek all over your gearbox? Surely that's not right.

Sounds like a rubbing hose thats burst on a more serious note. Easy fix, remove and replace.

Yes was a coolant leek

This is what I was thinking or it had poped off

Was a split hose from the thermostat .

Ebay £ 20 fix is on the way
