coolant temp dial acting wierd

every so often the coolant temp dial will slowly go down to the cold point / low then rise back slowly. happens intermittently and could happen when driving after 30mins or so

any idea what is causing it?

no other faults apart from the dial

Change the coolant temp sender for the first port of call. 99% of the time thats the problem.
