Cooling fan testing - Valver

[James Clio 16v]

I have just fitted a 2nd hand cooling fan to my 16v as the old one was on its way out and it wont work.

I have by-passed the temperature sensor in the rad and it still wont come on.

I want to eliminate any possible problems with the actual wiring in the car, including the relay, so I want to run 2 wires from the battery direct to the wiring on the fan to test that the fan works.

What wire should I use?

Does it matter how I wire it up?

put a wire on the live of the battery, stick on on the earth of battery, connect em up to fan...........shud work

if it dunt then the fans fooked.....cos ur puttin a direct feed to it then

have you checked for a 12volt feed at the fan switch connector?
