Copying dvd's to hard drive advice

Right basically i want to back up all of my dvd's to my computer so i can stream them to ps3 and watch them on my computer.
I tried using handbrake to encode them and the first i did worked but none of the others have, they have just played all fuzzy unwatchable.

Does anyone know why or recommend some other software i can use?

i rip mine to hd using dvdshrink.. then i convert the vob files that dvdshrink has created using AutoGK..

both freeware and work perfect

I set all my movies to be 1400mb (choose custom size in autogk)

Handbrake is for Mac?

On PC, I use AnyDVD and DVD Shrink for copying and AnyDVD and Xilisoft DVD Ripper for ripping.

How long should it take guys to rip a DVD to your HD?

I know it depends on system spec but an average? My current software takes a good 90+ mins per dvd!

mine takes about 30mins on my pc but my mac takes ages

usually takes half as long as the length of the film
1 hour film = 30 mins
