im looking at an upgrade soon and just want to know if they are really worth it.

I've just ordered the E6400, aparently these can goto 3Ghz easily on the stock cooler. No better processor out there matches these for value and performance.

I think the 6400 is easier to overclock than the 6300 as its multiplier is higher so to get upto 3.5GHz you dont have to raise the FSB as much thus meaning you dont have to use the best and most expensive DDR2 memory

I am running a E6600 on air and it sits at 3.04ghz ALL the time and has done for ages.

I have had it running stabler at 3.3ghz as well. Awesome chips they really do hand AMD's ass to them on a plate

The 6300 and 6400 are VERY cheap and overclock nicely. But I wanted the 4mb cache so went for the 6600
