Cost: 16v Timing Belt

How much for a replacement at my 72k service? Ive researched that its surpose to be done at this major service. Cheers

Both BB and KTEC are about 150 quid, check their websites, less cliosport discount plus VAT. Hillpower is more expensive (what i got quoted anyway). Renault dearer still.

Was talking about cambelt. If you mean fan belt round alternator (timing belt ?) this should have been checked/swapped when cambelt was done as it has to come off to do that.

Yeah, i meant the timing belt, but thats not down in my service history unfortunatly.

So people; is the Timing belt not also the cam belt? Im really clueless about this but i dont want my engine out when i get it serviced next month.

At 50k i had a new alty and cam belt put in, but nothing down for timing belt. Humm. Any anwsers? Cheers.

The timing belt is the cam belt. The one that does all the stuff like alternator etc is the auxillary drive belt (often called the fan belt, although the 16v has no fan belt).

SO ITS A FACT THAT THE TIMING BELT IS ACTUALLY THE CAM BELT.
