Cost of various parts and fitting

  RB 182
I've been quoted today for a few bits of work that need to get done to the car and don't know if I'm paying over the odds for the work.

Firstly is the front steering arms which he says both need replacing and have to be done before my MOT which is in a few months so I thought I would get it sorted. He told me this a few months back all I can do is take his word for it really. The work he said would cost £150+ VAT, that includes fitting and parts.

Next is the passenger seat cable which I've been meaning to get done for ages, but is seems a rip off to me a £50+ VAT, which is again for parts and fitting.

The last thing is the 3 beep fault on the alarm which I've seen in the alarm sticky on the forum with the Renault code of 'RS+15'. He said this would be £50+ VAT to fix this.

The guy is a Renault independant specialist so I would expect him to know what he's doing.

I'd appreciate it on some feedback as to how much each of these should be for the parts and fitting as I don't want to be fleeced.

prices may seem a little extortionate but they probably are about right,my local renault specialist quoted me 90+vat for the rear lambda sensor and he even showed me from the renault trader website that was the price

List price is about £50 an arm so £150 isn't that bad it can be a bugger to do if there any rust on the ball joint.

Passenger seat cable that just the way it is.

Why don't you get the car to Renault to fix the alarm under warently same for the rest of the bits?

Would have got the bits done on warranty bit that ran out a while ago now, shame though. Cheers for the replies.
