Could i take this off my door to get speaker wire through?

I've spent about 2 hours figuring how to route my wire to my speakers and i cannot get the rubber grommet off, i don't really want to drill another hole so i was thinking can i take this metal thing off and pass it through the screw hole. Then run it through that plastic thing on the other side. But i have no clue what it is, is it needed this blue plate that i want to unscrew?

I would say thats something to do with security to stop the do being levered from that side

It's not an option for speaker wire. It'll mate up to the crash-pin on the A-Pillar...
