Could renault have made my car slower!!

after the service?? the cup had its first 12k service the other day, and after all the peeps ive heard sayin....my car feels sooo much more responsive blah blah blah, mine feels no diff, in fact im sure it may feel a bit sluggish!!! altho this may be in my head, as not only does she spin when acceleratin in first but if im sittin in second, at 3k and punch it she spins like a nutter till 3rd!?!?! hhhmmm??!!

all you do on a 12m service is change the oil,oil filter,top up all levels and give it a check over.they dont touch anything that would affect performance.

You might find the spinning is due to cold tyres. Its not been raining round my way either but things are still interesting!

After my first 12000 service the car was defo less responsive. I think this was due to them putting different oil to what had been put in at the factory. After another 6000 miles I changed the oil to mobil 1 and the extra responsiveness came back.

I should of also said that it wasnt a massive change in performance, just didnt seem to be quite as free to rev. I noticed it even more as it was just before an evo meet in Wales.

Just had mine done yesterday, When I picked it up It did seem not quite as punchy as it had been before the service. This morning after a little pushing it seems to have returned to it normal performance.

same here ! its was flying just before the service even with four -up my mates were well impressed.. but as soon as it came back its was not as responsive! it has days were it runs slow tho???

it might be more responsive with less oil e.g just above min as oposed to max level. or thicker oil maybe its thicker peter

always have the oil on max if possible, dont run it on minimum !
