From personal experiance you're better off getting a whole new shaft. You are probs able to just change the boot but it's a horrible job

depends how long it's been leaking.

DO you get any knocking / clonking or generally bad noises from that area?

No, no noise from that side. I came to blows with a pothole wed night and noticed this when I changed the wheel over the following morning so could be from that?

Quite possibly.

In which case get the seal sorted quickly or you could be looking at a new shaft whethyer you like it or not

The earliest I can get it looked at is Monday, would it be fine till then if I don't drive it or will it just continue to leak anyway?

You need a new driveshaft as the boot on the inner joint isn't changeable. It'll be fine to drive.
