Couple of more problems with Clio

  Looking for a Clio Sport
Im wondering if its just me or are these issues i need to rectify

Firstly when my engine is running in Idle mode (standing still) when i have the bonnet open there is like a hissing noise coming from where (i think) a belt is turning, altho when the engine is revved it goes away?

Secondly the clutch is extremly tough to push in, does anyone else have these problems?
it must just be me over reacting but id like to know what it might be.

thanks

Has the cambelt/aux belt ever been changed. The clutches on Clios are fairly stiff compaired to other cars.

apparently it was changed at 44,000 miles, thats what she told me as she asked said it was the cam belt (timing belt)

It really sounds odd to me!!

I have a kind of slight hissing (air) type noise on idle too. I don't know what it is but it's always done it right from new. ( Comes from somewhere near the back of the engine). As for the clutch, mines not stiff at all, lovely and smooth infact. I guess it depends on what you are normally used to though.
