As above, you dont lose any no claims bonus by getting it done through the insurance company. Just feed them 50 notes and theyll replace it.
Make sure they are aware its not a normal 172 screen, its the lightweight special(cheap) Cup one.

I paid lots less money to get a brilliant race fettled windscreen for my Cup, and if Autoglass turned up with a better quality, more expensive 172 one, I would feel that the integrity of my cheap focussed road weapon had been compromised.
