crappy performance: what might be wrong?

  Ph1 172
Hi,

I have a Ph1 172, and recently had a chance to test its performance using rstuner. Looks like it's not good at all :dapprove:

Car had a service a couple of months ago. Dephaser pulley, spark plugs, timing belt, clutch and lots of other things have been changed. I'm told to expect around 100kw at the wheels with a completely standard car as mine but it seems like mine is lacking something. Oh and the engine is running on original renault ecu calibration. Completely standard car so to speak.

What might be the problem, any pointers? I'm attaching a 3rd gear run performance plot and sensor data. I can provide live data log file if anyone cares to look into.

Thanks

Uras

Thanks guys i'll check it out. When cam belt was changed, cams and crank was locked but pulleys were not. It might have caused a little misalignment. I'll look into it.

Another thing, renault pdf says camshaft grooves should be horizontal and offest downward. like smaller part of the half circles should be down. However, locking tool locks either way. Does one way or another makes any difference? Mine is currently sitting smaller parts up when crank is locked. Is there such thing as 180 degree off timing? I think it might be ok with wasted spark but I wanted to be sure anyway.

it will make a difference, but remember the crank turns twice to every rotation of the cams, so try turning the crank once and the cams should be close to the correct position

timing was ok but it turns out, two of the injectors were clogged. rstuner says its now 99kw not 89. the shape of the power curve did not change much though. 99kw for a completely standard car seems okay but should i keep looking for something in case something is wrong with the power curve?
