Few q's for a mate.

Does an 08 1.2 Clio have an engine cut out switch, if so where ?

Is there some kind of safety deployment mechanism in the seat base ? Side seat bags not deployed but the bit where you sit has a big lump in it on both front seats

Is there a safety mechanism that locks the inertia reel of the seatbelt ?

Yes, not sure, used to be under the bonnet.

No, it's possibly bent?

Yes, pretentioners. Possibly fired. Airbag light on?

dont think the newer models had a cut off switch, prob wrong though

Mate its in the airbag control unit

I hit a tree jan this year and it needs reprogrammed by renault

there is no manual cutoff switch sorry dude but i dont think its cheap! (I went through insurance.)

Just to note my airbags did not go off. good luck!

So it looks like there is no manual cut off, its logged in the crash / airbag comp to not let it start ? (the car turns over but wont start currently).

The seat bases are probably bent, wow, that must have been some whack !

The pre tensioner is on the reel end of the seatbelt, I was only familiar with pre tensioners at the clip end.
