Crashed my Clio yesterday :(

  1.2 Clio Dynamique
Crashed after swerving to miss a animal. Luckily both of us only had cuts no major injuries

Ouch! Proper job there mate.

At least you're okay.

Someone will come along and tell you that you should have hit the animal and you'd be better off. Whilst the latter is probably true (unless there's rhinos on your local roads) you can't help that your instinct is to swerve.

Unlucky. At least you're ok. My mrs stopped on a duel carriageway for a sparrow last week...

Lucky to get out of that one unscathed!!

As above though, whilst the gut instinct says to swerve, unless its a horse/cow/elephant, its usually better to just take out the animal.

Was there an unfortunately placed ramp at the side of the road or something?

I joke ofcourse, glad everyone's okay!

Good effort.

I'd say 7/10 with a bonus point for style.

Glad you're both alright.

I agree on the rear of the Clio - A and B pillars always hold up well, the C seems to be made of fromagé in these things.

Glad you're okay

It's easy for people to say what they would have done but in that split second when you're going to hit something, I guarantee most of you will swerve

I accelerate towards birds. Pigeons are slow fat feathery rats with wings.

I lift off for squirrels/cats and I'd do my damnest not to hit a badger (they're made from oak BTW, solid little b******s) but that's about it. Never swerve. You won't win.

Unlucky, least everyone is ok though, just a car at the end of the day. It can be replaced.

Surprised no one has tried to say your lying and you were being a tool yet. Time yet I guess lol.

What animal were you avoiding? I hit a baby deer once, it went everywhere, unfortunately it ran out to late to even think about not hitting it! poor thing :(

I've just seen the pics of Rhys (in Clio media on EA meet) who hit a dear over the week end. Looks like he came off better by hitting it. Glad your both allright. Like people have said who knows what we would do in the same situation.

I thumped a muntjac in a Volvo 360 and it barely left a scratch! I did have to finish it off with a big rock by the side of the road with a massive queue of traffic looking on.

Blimey, good job done there! Good to hear the animal is alive.

Renault should be proud of the safety of these clios. Glad you're ok mate.

Hero McRae there!
