Creating picture time lapses?

Yesterday I set my tripod in my car and using the remote took a lot of shots of a journey, I would like to put them all into a film now to create a time lapse film, but dont know how. Google isnt very helpful either.

Anyone done this?

Not sure if Windows Movie Maker can change the pictures quick enough. Own CS3? See the tutorial in the 6.5fps thread, would be a hefty file if it was a .gif though, interest in doing something like that myself...

edit: just had a search on the POTN forums, they also mention Quicktime Pro or iMovie..
