Crimping CV boot clips

Any idea of how to crimp up the CV booy clips without the use of the Renault tool? Or is it just a case of throwing the OEM ones out and using something else?

I used jubilee clips as the daft CV clips kept snapping!

They are a pain in the arse tbh mate, you can fiddle with them for ages but the best way to do it is use a specialist tool
