Crossover Wiring

  1.6 Ford Focus
This is quite possibly the most frustrating thing I have ever come across in my time of owning a Clio!

All I want to do is fit a crossover in the car for the tweeters and door speakers, but for some bizarre reason, guides or even pictures seam to be totally non existent and I don't want to be pulling the dash apart only to find its not possible.

Does anyone know how Renault have wired the speakers?? I was hoping that the tweeters and door speakers were wired in parallel (ie. 2 cables from head unit to tweeter and 2 cables from tweeter to door speaker) but this is not the case.

How else is it possible wired? Unless its been wired up so that 2 cables are connected to 1 pole on the head unit its totally impossible without major rewiring.

best thing to do is get a new h/u to iso lead

cut speaker wires on said lead in middle

take the ones from h/u side to input of cross over

then from the woofer output on cross over to the ones on the iso side

install new cable from tweeter output on cross over to new tweeter

Hey Dink, what do you mean by new HU to ISO lead? Where could I get one of those? Cheers!
