Any able to login to steam at all over the past couple of days?

Ive just reintsalled CS after a format but evrytime i try to login with my steam account it come sup with somthing along the lines of unable to connect to steam ..please check the steam status.

Do you think it may have somthing to do with me having it installed on a seperate drive to my windows installation?

Just a thought

I have just logged in, no problems.

There is nothings worng with the steam server. Why have u installed it on a seperate HD? I know you proberly did it to speed up ur pc, but you should really. It affects the windows registry and the online thing. Try reinstalling it on the c drive.

ur best bet is to install steam etc on the c drive, and then when you want to format just copy and paste ur saved games, maps, sounds etc onto ur d drive. then restore them after the restore, this is what i do

yh my source is fine, your firewall isnt blocking it from connecting to the internet is it? or maybe the inbuilt windows firewall? obviously your connected to the internet when you attempt this ;)

FYI: installing it to another drive will never cause issues. It is actually recommended that you run applications from a different drive to as it eases stress on the system drive.
