CS has csoc members and vice versa. Some people have allegiances to one, some to both. End of the day, its 2 clubs doing what they want to do.
I don't think it is an attempt to outdo one another, it's just that CSS at Blyton was a one off for 2015...not happening a couple of times as per csoc. End of the day, you pays your money and makes your choice.
