If I am still in this country I will bring a lot more Bratwurst. Have a proper sausage fest ;)
It's hard to pick out faults. We were planning to have an Ariel Atom but he had to pull out last minute.
Would love to be able to have a drone up during the day tho. @fangled might be of use ;)

How come the replacement shaft fell out too then?

Is your avatar the Duke of Hazzard moment from CSS?

Shafts too short and damage to the cup on the shaft when it went bang first time.

I've fitted a cup shaft which is longer than a ph1 and all seems fine! Was surprised the shaft is a good 20mm longer.

My avatar is knockhill, bigger kerbs so you get more air!

but maybe some fairground things like a coconut shy, rifle range, rubber duck fishing etc, something that doesn't involve being span around while drunk or with a hangover, also maybe some classic arcade games like After Burner, Sega Rally, Time Crisis etc and a few of pinball machines, air hockey tables maybe even the odd pool table. (just an idea)

This is actually pretty much what we actually had booked, a range of sideshow stalls, plus a slightly more tame ride. Unfortunately 2 weeks before the event we were let down by a major fairground provider who had gladly taken our money and booking for 6 months, leaving us with a nightmare couple of weeks trying to recover / arrange something else at the last minute. It's taken nearly a month to get our money back too.

If we do have fairground type attractions next year, I expect we will try again to get this sort of stuff.

Yeah Ron told me the same on the day, my Mum works in event management and has contacts that can provide all the stuff we were let down on, I just hope it's not the same company that bailed on us. lol

Unfortunately having drone up whilst the track time is going on is a massive no no.

We invited every single one of our traders to attend and although none of them took us up on the invite nearly all of them provided us with pretty amazing raffle prizes (there was probably over a grands worth of prizes I would guestimate)

Hopefully next year we can get some of them to attend so you can all spend some of your hard earned cash with them.

With regards to alternative venues it's difficult. Getting a venue like Blyton that are willing to give us pretty much a free run of their site is next to impossible.

I can't see us moving venues next year to be honest as we now have a fantastic working relationship with the owners of Blyton and also with Javelin.

In my opinion the weekend was perfect!
However like other people have said maybe the fairground rides where a little lost on most of us, and the money spent on them could be better spent on other entertainment? Loving the suggestion of arcade machines etc!
As for the venue itself and the formula (trackday/camping) it really works! Baring in mind it's a 4 hour drive for me, I'd be more than happy to attend next year if it was at Blyton again!

Looking forward to the announcement and details of CSS16!

The only problem with Duxford is you are limited to what you can do other than look at aircraft. If I am still about next year I may organise a Duxford Day Meet.

This is true.
We need a karting centre with masses of on-site parking, who will be willing to do a whole days worth of 10-lap CS Kart championship races ;)

oo! a seperate track?!

I thought they just used their 'road course' and coned off a smaller track. Cool.
Still, Blyton may as well be on Mars.

Yep a separate track

Everyone seemed to enjoy them and we awarded a prize for the fastest lap of the day.

Some of our Scottish compatriots had a 6 hour journey down and they've all said it was worth the trip. It can only be 3 hours for you?

I guess it depends if you're prepared to make the effort. @Daniel and his mate Sam had an epic journey up from Bristol and I'm pretty sure they'll be doing it again next year. Speaks volumes I reckon

I think we all need to remember that this is a social event.

If you (CS) provide too much activities, people won't get to socialise.

All we need is a track (it's why most of us are on this forum) an area for the buffers to display their cars and an opportunity to drink beer with our mates.

Any more and you run the risk of us not using it because we're too busy chatting to each other or nobody chatting to each other because they're too busy playing arcade games.

Less is more etc.

I think @Daniel has hit the nail on the head. Keep it simple.

Stick with track time as that will attract the majority of people of the forum. Maybe get something that we can pay to passenger in also as this will attract the people that are a bit warey(sp) of taking their own on track, but like the experience. Doesn't need to be anything stupid.

As for night time, beer tent + band was perfect. Although maybe something else is needed to get people to interact with others. Not everyone is into dancing like t***s on the dancefloor.....except me @Sunglasses_Ron @optical @Euan94 etc lol.

I can think of two members who's cars I'd happily pay to passenger in around a track. Both are v8... And I'm sure one is supercharged lol.

I think the fires did a brilliant job of getting people together.

I think if we had more fire (or one massive fire), it'd attract more people.

One is good, more is better.

Another food stash for midnight wouldn't go amiss too.

Yeah the fires were good, but not everyone was there. I suppose everyone is going to break up into their own groups towards the end though.

I happen to think I'm quite accomplished on the dance floor! Did this not come across...

Campsite fires was great. Me and @The Boosh! sat next to each other for ages just looking at them in amazement!

@Daniel I think that the admin wanted more things to do for people who bring there children. I know what your saying about less is more but for people that are in the club and want a day out with the family there's more to do than watch cars go round I guess.
