CUP 1-500 Order

My garage tells me that originally they were only 500 cups made?

How do you know if you have one of these special cars/future collectors items (maybe)?

I think weve done this before, and we came to the conclusion that they werent limited... ever. Dunno tho?

The official line was that 2500 were being made for worldwide distribution and that 500 were destined for the uk.

None of them were numbered so how would you know? IMHO they were never meant to be a limited run, by any stretch of the imagination!

Read in EVO i think only 500 and when I went to buy one sales bloke telling me not to wait as only few left! Not sure if he wanted the sale though!

But then it might only be selling because its limited. In which case, you buy it then they make it none-limited - how annoying would that be.

The only limiting factor of the Cup is the production time.

It is only going to be produced for a year and production will end in September/October of this year, so if you want one get your orders in by the end of August!

But, going of Renaults of the past Id take that with a pinch of salt!

They are limited, thats why they arent numbered. Production does end in October though.

I heard from Renault that the cup would be available as part of the renaultsport range for 1 year from launch so that would mean it was ceasing in July/August - isnt that when it was launched?

It was launched from July 2002 production and build will end in October 2003
