Cup at 18 or 19....Insurance

Is there anyone on here with a cup who is 18 or 19? Whats the Insurance like? I have done searches but cant find anything.

had an import impreza at 19.. busted my ass finding a top quote for it (i know what its like trying to get insured at your age m8).. i spent alot of time on the phone to ALL companies, if you are prepared to do this then youll probably get insured on a cup for under 2k.. try elephant.co.uk and add ya mum on the policy that worked well for most.. shame they need proof for 5 years clean licence though youll have more chance at 19 btw

The only cheap route is using your mum or dad.

Personally I am glad I waited until I was less of a risk and hence quoted sensible premiums. I have never paid more than about £800 for any of my cars (that figure was for an RB5 Scoob).

Whatever happened to working your way up the performance ladder eh .. how times have changed

DoddCup you must be minted to afford a Cup at 18! I was driving a 1.0 205 at that age.

I drive a 172 and im 19... Its £1877.40 for a 12month policy with elephant.

I have 1yrs NCB, with my mum, sister (25) and girlfriends mum on the policy as named drivers.

So if you spread the payments your only looking @ 156.45 a month, which aint too bad considering.

Yours and their job occupation is also very important. Me putting my mum down as part time increased the policy by £80!!!

I had quotes ranging from 4k - 6k with no ncb (im 19). The cars on my dads policy with me n my mum as named drivers, that brings it down to £1k. Buying a sh**er to insure cheaply to build up my ncb !!

Im not minted but i work for my parents who pay me well. Dont forget most people my age dont have a full time job but i have been working 2 years now! But i aint tryin to say im poor though either. wot about stig he races a caterham 7 and wants a cup at the same time cant be bad!

I work too mate, during the summer for my old man! I save up every penny I get. I ll pay for the Cup partly myself, but I ll pay for the insurance aswell.

They quoted me 1800 3rd party on the valver which is only used at weekends and is garaged and im 19!!

Everyone says how good Adrian Flux are but Elephant and Admiral seem to give much better quotes!!
