Cup booked in for service

Car  Clio 172 Cup
MY 52 cup has just reached 20,000 on the clock, so i thought I'd book it in for a service.
How much should I be looking to pay and what is done on the 20,000 service?

Where are you? Its not due for a service until 24k unless thats all gone out of the window as its low milage.

The 12/24k service is oil, oil filter and air filter. Recommend fully synth oil 5w 40 and buy an ITG panel filter as they arent changed as often and save moeny in the long run.

Oh I know they are very stupidly expensive!
I'm going to Lawerence of Kemnay, thats where I bought my car. I'm sure you AJR about the only one that knows where that is apart from me on here?

Should I cancel it then?

for starters, 172s are 12k, 24k, 36k, etc etc, and it should be around £160 / £170 at a Renault dealer.

only if you can find a dealer close enough that quotes you that much, otherwise you've no choice

its not due till 24k...so if the car runs good etc wait another 3k and hunt around for cheaper garages(not Necessary a Reno garage)

Did it get it's 12k done alright?

There's certainly no harm in getting it done early, just means the next one will be due at 32k instead of 36k.

So you'll end up paying earlier and not getting full use of the parts, etc.

I bought the car at 15k and the garage serviced it then. Think I may just cancel it then, the car runs well (touch wood). I'll need to ask the garage though what sort of oil they used, cause my oil is due a top up soon.

dont use the garage's oil!! god knows what they use, when my service is due i will supply the oil to them!

But i dont know what they used when i bought the car?!?!??! : $

I'm such a girl I know!!!

Call Total Butler and ask for Deborah. Ask nicely if cliosport still get a good rate inc delivery on ELF 5W 40. Make sure its Deborah as the others are tools!

Service it even if it's for piece of mind or just an oil change. Halford 5w40 is fine and not too expensive.

And as Blink says, get an ITG panel filter.

If it was service at 15k I would wait until you hit 24k, or a year after the 15k service.
