Cup chassis

Car  Red 197 & Laguna S-T
How come there are so little 197's with the cup chassis. I'm looking to buy one (as someone is viewing my TF on Sunday) but i'm finding it difficult to find one which has the cup chassis :( IIRC it only cost an extra £400 to have the cup chassis??

As above, only became an option when the cup came out IIRC?

My big argument for the 'pointless cups' is if you dont want all the extra toys and do want the cup packs, why pay an extra £1400 for stuff you dont want?

My point exactly.

Never liked all thoese gadges.

Only thing I do miss is the external temp. gauge.

Having sat in both, no way could I cope without the adjustable reach on the steering. Driving position just felt a bit italian (straight arms). The reg 197 interior feels like it's worth the cash, the cup doesn't (all IMO). IMO if you've got a heavy car, why lose luxuries for bugger all weight penalty? Been done to death though, horses for courses.
