Cup Rear springs

My car failed its mot this week on a cracked rear spring- it's 2003 Cup, will standard 172/182 rear springs fit or are the cup springs different spec? Or can anyone recommend replacement springs?

Not 100% but I think the cup had springs different all other models. Definately different to the 172 and 182. Not sure about the 182 cup though.

There is always old 182 cup suspension going on here, just sign up and become a member and you'll have access to the sale sections. There have been a few people selling recently.

yeah, the springs are all different, but they're all interchangeable - just end up with slightly different ride height/spring rates. good news is that used sets do crop up on here for not-alot as people put Eibachs/coilovers on (just bought myself some spares for £30/posted); bad news is that genuine springs are over £100ea from Renault. could put a set of Eibachs on for about £150 if you're desperate and nothing's about at the minute

the springs are colour coded btw - yellow/white for 172Cup springs

ed. whereabouts are you? might be able to lend you a single spring to get you through the test if you're local

What are your thoughts on Apex springs? Might change the full set, and there might be some available cheap as a temporary measure. I don't particularly want to screw around with the factory settings
