Cup Rev Limit

Im sure the rev limit on my Cup was around 6750 -7000rpm when I first got it, but just recently (after going over 5000 miles) it seems to go right up to just below 8000rpm. Is this normal? Or have I bust the rev limit by thrashing my car once too often!?

Varies according to which gear youre in and engine temperature. Should be 7250 in 4th.

When cold it limits to 6500rpm, but when fully warmed up its 7250rpm in 1st, 2nd & 3rd, then 7000rpm in 4th & 5th!

Theres no way it should go to 8000rpm though, even the R-Sport ECU limits you to 7800rpm so Id get it checked...
