cup splitter? quick question

hi everyone sorry for this very silly question but does the cup splitter actually aid in stability and handling of the car? or is it there just for looks lol

ha ha thought so i thought with all the mention of front splitters no adays on top gear that they made a difference lol cheers buddy

in theory they do make a difference, although nhow noticeable it actually is is up for debate i guess.

The splitter makes the front end about 2cm closer to the ground, so restricts a fair amount of air from going under the car when urdriving, this creates an area of low pressure under the front wheels which helps keep the front end a tad more planted.

Not that you'd dver notice, they do looks good tho, hehe.

They only make a difference if you have the data to back up your arguments.

On performance cars they are proved to work, but the same concept can be used. Less air under the car is good, but depends how much air go over the top too. Very complicated stuff.
