cup / sport splitter

Maybe Im being stupid, although Ive not seen them both close up but whats the difference between the cup and 172 sport splitter, coz I cant see.....

There is no splitter as standard on a 172 Sport, only on a Cup...

Its the black plastic bumper trim/extension that fastens to the underneath of the bumper...
