CUP - Suspension mod on Actis

I posted on here a while ago about a suspension noise that occurs only when applying hard steering lock (metal on metal squeaking/grating noise from top of suspension) and was told that theres a quick fix and TI note on Actis (see below). My local dealer said theyve heard of something like this, but that it only applies to MKI 172s. Is there any sort of reference or similar on the Actis system that I can quote to steer them in the right direction and get this sorted.

Cheers.

"the mod takes about 15min to complete with a die air grinder(renault say remove the shockers but you dont need to if you have the correct tool)and involves grinding a small section of the inner corner of the shocker turret holes on both sides.the large combined nut/washer catches on the turret top hole.if the mod is done correctly it should work.there is now a TI note about it which every dealer should have a copy of."

it applies to every phase 2 172 and cup.there is a ti note(these notes are for the uk only) and an actis solution(actis avaliable to all dealer networks).they both explain the mod in your post.

whats a "TI" note ?

Is there anything specific like a ref no. for the note or the solution that I can quote to the dealer, or a date when it was notified. Ive talked through the problem and my understanding of the solution with the service manager, but he doesnt seem able to find anything that matches up on Actis.

Cheers.
