Cup Suspension problems.

  172, Tiguan

I think that the Cup may finally have broken :(

My car is booked in already to check out the creaking and banging from the front suspension + also the engine mounts.

However over the last week Ive noticed more and more noise coming from the rear suspension, in the form of creaking, rattling.

Anyway this evening on a moderatly paced blast I noticed the noise becoming noticably louder, then all of a sudden it felt like I had rear wheel steer?!? Got home and nothing obvious appears wrong, i.e no puncture, loose wheel etc.

However something is obviously wrong so ill have to phone up Reno and beg that someone have a 10 minute check over tomorrow morning. Problem is i know the earliest theyll look at it will be next week. And theres no chance theyll sort it.

Hmm, any suggestions anybody, what was odd was i noticed the car a lot lower than a 182 i looked at yesterday. My car is on standard suspension.

Could the entire rear suspension have collapsed, surely id notice that?

OH dear...

ten minute job to replace a rear spring, dead easy.they dont normally completly drop out completly but it does depend on how much of the coil has snapped off.would have thought you would be ok if you go steady.
