Cup Trade in Value

I know there are many variables etc. - but does anyone have any idea what I should be pushing to get for my:-

April 2003 Clio 172 Cup - Mondial Blue - Excellent Condition - 10500 - New Front Tyres 4 Weeks ago. I would also be giving them S* CUP Registration.

I would like to trade it in on a New Shape Civic Type R.

If I do get rid of the car I might decide to sell the plate privately, ClioSport members will get first dibs!

Depends on the dealer you take it to mate, its very difficult to give a price!

I got screwed for my corsa that I traded it for the cup - £5400 for a car they tried to sell on for £6995. Wasnt too happy!

Im S7 CUP, Im in Hamilton and Motherwell quite a lot, I kinda roam as part of my job. Not really into cruising so you wont have seen me in Coatbridge or at the park on a Sunday Nite.

Private I reckon about £10k.

Not a great deal - Renault - dealer probably £8k - £8.5K. Trading it in at another dealer I would definately push for 10.5k if the book price is 13K new. After all they want to sell you a new car!!

Private - £9K - £9.5K.

I tried to sell my 03 plater (albeit near christmas) for 9950 - got one enquiry - they offered £8500, so I took it off the market.

You would have thought now that dealers wont have a large supply of them - youll be able to command a higher price on trade in - but looking at the deals peeps are getting on the last of the new ones from dealers its difficult to know.

I sold mine on Saturday for £9800 was a June 03 car with 6800 miles on it.

oh, doesnt look good for me!

As long as the change over price for the type r is about 6 grand I dont really mind how much Id get for it, or how much theyd take off the price of the civic.
