ok cup went in for a problem to local dealer.....well to work Colindale.



The exhaust has gone, the reason they found out that an engine mount has smashed. Anyone else had that?

the cup is an may 2003?



ok its driven hard and had 3-4 track days underr its belt but hey!!!

Which engine mount?!

My engine/gearbox mount broke...

unsure but took over a week and had a 1.2 for a bit which is a shock to the system

Hmmm... they didnt say anything about the mounts at the time...but my exhaust snapped at one of the seams that welds the pipe to the catalyst. Maybe this was due to excessive movement caused by dodgy mounts, which seems to be a problem inherrent in the 172s / cups design.
