cup windsceens

are these thinner than a usual 172?

mine is compleatly fooked, its cracked from the pssenger side, all the way to the drivers :dead:

just need to know before i get it replaced, want to make sure its the right one i get fitted

Yep different theyr'e thinner.
Best get a full fat on as there thicker so more resistsant to damage load of ups have had them replaced with the heavier one but you cannot tell the difference is tiny.

would auto windscreens or who ever know the difference between 172 models?

I'd say that you'd more then likley get a standard thicker 172 windscreen.

Nope, they should know but they'll just order a full fat one and you should be glad its less likly to crack.

the 172 cup windscreens were same as the Dynamique ones. (early models)

My Dynamique doesnt have the pink heat reflective screen. Just like the Cups.

You can get it again, when they ask if u want the reflective screen or not, if you say no, then u get the lighter model

dont forget that the full fat screens have the tint that stops GPS units like road angel's working as well without having the external antenna!

for that reason alone i would want the cup screen!
