CUP wouldn't start!

brother went to move it this morning and it wouldn't go! Fortunatly being a renault mechanic, he was able to get the diagnostic machine on it, but it showed no faults! He thinks he tried to start it too quick without letting the immobiliser light go out and it got a bit confused!

Anyone else had this trouble?

Never had this prob.If something was wrong surely something would light up on the dash

Sounds like he just tried stayrt it to quick.
Why would he hook it up to the laptop just because he couldn't start it once?
The system need a delay to make sure the key code imobiliser is the same as that stored on the ECU and UCH.
