I'm thinking about changing the Cup's headlights to Xenon units, can i see Cup's with the black inserts and the grey inserts please?

Also, is it plug and play? Pain in the arse to swap the headlamps over?

Cheers!

Re: Cup's with xenon's please.

Not too much hassle. Bumper off, 3 bolts for each light.

As long as the lights have ballasts and igniters its plug and play.

Only one of mine I have with the xenons in

Swap the adjusters over and plug in.

Also manually adjust the headlamps so you're not blinding peeps. ;)

Cheers Emma, that looks pretty good actually!

Aye Kev, wouldn't want any more dealings with the 5-0 as long as i can avoid it ;)

Cup's with xenon's please.

Piece of piss to swap the headlights Danny. I fitted them to my trophy in about half an hour. Fitted Marc R ones not that long ago too. Hardest part is getting the bumper off and even that's a doddle.

The light output is far better with standard lights but xenons finish the front end of so well.. Im not sure if I want to fit xexnons to mine yet :(

Cup's with xenon's please.

Just go for 6000k hids if you want to stay standard.

Ignore the "It's not cup" people - honestly, they're no heavier at all than the non-xenon units, it's just cost saving from Renault
It looks 100x better and the light output is 10,000x better

It was one of the first things I did to my Cup and I've never looked back - night driving is awesome with them :D

Re: Cup's with xenon's please.

Id disagree with the 10000% better output, was disappointed with them on my 182.

I liked them on my 1.2. Add in the fact decent bulbs can be expensive they were great.

Wrong bulbs, nearly dead ballasts or hazed to hell then

I had brand new unhazed cup headlights and changed them for a second hand set of xenons - the xenons are at least double the brightness, they're awesome

Don't get hid's. Their gash and nasty.

Xenons too standard lights are much better, so either freshen your headlights up or make the move.

Re: Cup's with xenon's please.

I wouldn't say they are 10,000 times better. They definitely are a great deal better for night driving and look better. Mine were dirt cheap which is the only reason I bought them. I wouldn't pay £150 for a set.

Re: Cup's with xenon's please.

They look a nicer unit Danny but they tend to be costly to change too. I just put 6k hids in both my cups

Re: Cup's with xenon's please.

HID's in standard lights is an awful thing to do
They aren't projectors - they blind everyone as they don't have a beam cut off

As emma said - mine only cost £110 (shop around) and took me an hour to fit.

they're just not all that imo

I didn't swap adjusters over, plugged my standard cup ones in the hole in the headlight and they work fine.

What are people doing about the piss stained yellow side lights? I'd like bright white and to not look chavvy?
