Cut in a wheel on the bead

I arranged to buy some wheels and tyres off a local scrap man. A mint set of VTS wheels with half decent tyres. I get there and the monkey that works for him has cut the tyres off :S So theres a cut on every wheel on each bead. Could I get them welded or should I stay clear. Theyve been fairly substantially cut, an angle grinder disc in width down to the inner bead so about an inch or so. So so gutted, a set of BBS splits and 205 gti wheels with the same treatment, I felt like crying :(

PS- The BBS splits were butchered or I would have refurbed them;)

Not worth a punt at 20 quid? :(

Run out of posts, does anyone know a rough price on welding if its possible?

WIN!

On topic though, an alloy wheel restorer should be able to repair the damage but will cost a little bit (no idea on price), make sure you point out to the scrappy they have ruined them and should only give them 10-20 quid for the set, or walk away.

  Black Clio GT
gets the bbs splits and just weld the outer lips up or upgrade them to stainless.........
a good wheels referber will be able to weld them up if they know what alloy/mag mix is used to form them in the first place!!
