Cutting bass to the speakers?!

  Clio Dynamique+ 1.4
Hey guys, I've got an Alpine IDA-X001, running Alpines SXE1350s in the front and SXE1325s in the rear. However when I turn up louder, it sounds s**te. I plan to run my sub in the boot soon an would like to cut all bass going to the speakers, however I dont have any form of high pass filters etc built into the head unit. I was planning on amping my speakers, but using the Alpine KTP 445 power block that plugs into the back of the unit, and provides 45rms to each speaker (more than their RMS anyways), but I don't know if this can be used to cut the bass? Any ideas guy? Cheers, monkey.

you could also just get a high pass filter to put between your HU and amp if it dosnt have one built in. alternativly, you could also use a crossover to redirect the bass I suppose...

you would be best of getting some components with a proper crossover, I have the inline alpine amp and it does nothing really to filter out the bass to the front speakers

you should be able to set the frequencies on your head unit that you run to which speakers, or like others said a set of component speakers with separate crossovers, failing that.....buy speakers that can take a higher power handling as Im pretty sure Alpine Type E's are fairly low

The fronts can handle 40rms an the rears are 35rms. An nah, I thought I could set the frequencies, however alpine decided to leave it off the one hu I end up buying haha.
