Cutting exhaust cut out on 172 bumper

Should be fitting my 172 bumper this weekend. Whats the easiest way to cut the hole out for my exhaust?

Do you have a dremel? That and some sandpaper and you're done.

im guessing cant, u if u havnt already, put ur exhaust on, fit the bumper and mark where the exhaust hits, measuring is another good way if uve got a good head on ya or yeah guesswork only ways i can think. as for cutting it out im not to sure but for be id get the general shape then wack a circular scotch bright abra disk in a drill and slowly smooth it to prefered shape. dno if that helps

Take it to a bodyshop ftw, cost me £50 to fit my cat back, cut a recess in the bumper including fitting and painting the surround.

Unless you feel competent to do it I wouldn't even attempt it.

Dremel prob the best way or a jr haksaw

Will the plastic split? Or should i use masking tape like they taught me at school (one of the few things i remeber)

This is a job that can really go wrong and cost you the price of another bumper, take your time fella

Remember always start far too small, then work away at it checking with the exhaust until you have the correct sized hole. Much easier to sort it being to small than too big.
