Cutting out! Help please

Driving down the road before and the car got a sudden surge of power then the electrical warning light appeared and the engine stalled. This wouldnt start for ages then all of a sudden started and ran perfect for all of 15mins. Then once again coming up to lights and it gets a surge of power and stalls. 3 times it has done this on a stretch of road no longer then 2 miles or so!

Does anybody know what this problem is or mite be, any help would be much appreciated!

have you checked to make sure all of the leads are connected to the plugs and the coil pack correctly? just a thought, something to rule out.
