CV Boot Replacement

Where's the best place to get one of these, I've seen them for sale at Euro car parts but people were saying that there not that great.

I tried Renault this morning to be informed they don't do them seperately and requires a complete driveshaft.

Renault do sell them separate. Obviously just wanting you to pay the extra. Euro car parts do have them too, but you have to phone up, they dont list the genuine parts on the website for some reason.

Don't have a prt number for renault do you? I just got the usual" oh sorry, we don't sell them seperately, that'll be £xxx without vat."

If not will phone ECP.

Not to hand I dont sorry, I might have it at home somewhere but it wont be till late tonight.
ECP are a couple of quid cheaper anyway IIRC.

I changed mine ready for its mot today, i used a universal one off of ebay where you lube up a cone which sits over the end of the drive shaft/cv joint and the gaitor then gets popped over the cone.

Wasnt bad really, and on the link above is a short vid of how its done. Pretty simple!

Thats what the Motrio ones are like. Comes with grease and ties
