CV joint Help needed asap!!

I have ordered a re-conned shaft complete with cv joints but am having trouble getting the old one out and i need to give them the old one in exchange.
I have got it out of the gear box, but cant seem to get it out of the hub.

I have taken the clips off the gaitor exposing all the grease and the joint but am not sure how the joint comes away from the hub.

please help.

so you've got a new shaft with 2 cv joints on either end? in that case you are trying to undo the wrong thing.
look on the other side where the wheel bolts to, undo the big hub nut in the middle and the whole thing comes out

As far as i know the outer CV joint can't be seperated from the driveshaft.
And, if you've ordered a new driveshaft, you can jus take the old one out whole.
Assuming you've un-done all the bolts etc just drift the splined end of the shaft through the hub.

I was told shaft comes complete and you cant seem to buy cv joints anywhere, so it better come with them on!

I think you may possibly be able to buy inner joints. But i'm sure it will come with them on.

for the RS i think you can only buy the shaft. If its a remanufactured one thats definitely what you will be getting. Undo the hub nut then use a mallet or hammer with copper/wood drift to knock the shaft out of the splines in the hub.
