CV joint help

how much for a new CV joint mines clonking! and i know its that cus the garage and my dad told me! :rolleyes: just an estimate would be helpful! grease put back in.. cus it was leaking cus the clip fell off! but sorted that! and it still makes the noise? Rach xx

Sounds like it's been left to long and all the grease has come out and run dry, thus knackering the drive shaft, i'm going for not cheap.

CV joints are under boots on the driveshaft, If they are not packed with grease the break quickly.

Yours sound farked tbh
They are a part of the driveshaft, so you need a new shaft.
as a guide GSF do them for about £70 each, for NON sport models.
Don't go to renault. That will be bloody expensive.

A shaft from renault will be circa £150, which side is shot? The drivers or passenger side? Passenger side will want the gearbox oil changing as well as you'll lose it all when you take the shaft out.

You able to do it yourself? I'm not far away if help is needed.
