CV Joint issue..

I know it has been covered, but they are confusing and differ from eachother.

So whilst my car was up in the air the other day, there was so grease in random places, and my friend said I need two new cv boots. So, here I am looking to buy some.

However, all the threads say something different. Can you buy one side, not the other? Do I need two new shafts or what?

if there is no play then all you need are boots then.

Only needed the one .
If it's the N/S your doing , might be cheaper to get a second hand "good" shaft , but would you know it's a good'n.
Might just be worth buying the gaitor's and doing them.

Part number Genuine OE part.
I wouldn't use anything else .

Thanks both. Might be getting my terms of joints/boots/gaitors mixed up.

Any recommendations on where to get the rubber bits (gaitors?) for both sides?
