CV Joints on a 172- How Hard?

Hi,

I am getting a clicking when turningslowly and have been told it's my CV joint, is this a tough job for mechanics only or is it easy enough for me to do??

depends what you have done before, just replace the shaft(s) but theyre not mega cheap...

Have done a few odds and sods (engine mounts etc)!! How much we talking??

I fitted a new o/s shaft yesterday for £78.00 with no surcharge. Returned the old unit within 1 week, all good.

there not too hard to do as long as yo no what to move... friend of mine had no clue and undid everything he could find down there took me about 2 hours to put the stuff back on to see what he had actually done

Ok cheers, my dads rebuilt a few cars in his time so I'll make sure I do it on his drive!!
