Dash lights not bright enough

I changed my steering wheel today, and in the process had to change the squib too. I took all of the indicator stalks etc off and put them back exactly as before. However, since then, my dash lights, namely my speedo etc and the clock/temp gauge in the centre have been very dim when my lights are on. Do the 2 connectors that go onto the bottom of the indicator stalk control these lights? Maybe I haven't put them back on correctly/enough, although I'm sure I have. Any other ideas?

Isnt there a dial by the esp switch etc to turn them up..

Yeah there is. Look for a wheel switch down to your right next to the ESP switch

What a knob I am. I know that dial is there, but I didn't even think of checking it. I must have knocked it by accident when doing the work. Haha. Cheers guys.
